Fairness Doctrine

I think the Fairness Doctrine could work today, although I am not sure exactly how it would be enforced in today’s society. If a Fairness Doctrine were to be enacted how would you regulate it? And, who and what would fall under this Doctrine?

I think the idea of a Fairness Doctrine is legitimate, and the concept is worthy, but having to communicate within such rigid restrictions seems unfeasible. I think it would be unreasonable to expect today’s society to communicate on balanced grounds. And even if this Fairness Doctrine was re-established how are you going to regulate the balance of information? Who decides what is balanced and what is not?
