I have used wikipedia alot of times but that doesn't necessarily mean that I consider it as a credible source. It gives me a pretty good idea about what something is and then I go from there. I don't think that we should use wiki as our sole source of information especially when it comes to papers we write in class and all other important documents that we happen to work on.
I think it's useful but not very credible. Just like what everyone else has mentioned, we don't know who's posting what and where they even get their information.
Going back to the question...yes i would use wiki for one of my papers. I wouldn't cite it but i would look elsewhere for more information as well.
